VDA established the San Francisco office in 2012 through the acquisition of Hesselberg, Keesee & Associates to broaden VDA’s missions of developing and delivering vertical transportation solutions to assist the firm’s growing client base in the Northern and Central California regions along with the Northern Nevada region. The office provides full design and engineering services for new and modernized vertical transportation equipment, Maintenance Quality Control Evaluations/Maintenance Management of existing equipment, Equipment Evaluations and Due Diligence for acquisitions, Maintenance Specifications, RFP’s, and general consulting to assist clients with all areas of vertical transportation.
The office is headed by Ron Welts. Ron joined VDA in 2019 as Area Manager with over 24 years of prior experience in the elevator industry with a diverse background in construction, service field operations, supervision and project management, general management, and consulting.
His responsibilities at VDA include local area management and all phases of vertical transportation consulting including system analysis, project management, new installation, modernization, evaluations, maintenance specifications, maintenance management, quality control evaluations, and due diligence.
