In October 2004, VDA opened its Midtown Manhattan office to serve all five boroughs, as well as VDA’s clients in Nassau county, Suffolk county, and Connecticut. The office includes a full-time staff of Field Engineers and associates to provide Mandated periodic inspections (Category/5 Witnessing), Equipment Evaluations, Code Compliance Services, development of maintenance specifications, full modernization, new installations, traffic analyses, and proposal review.
The first point of contact in our New York City office is Mr. Michael Balsamo, Vice President of Sales, who joined VDA in 2017. Mr. Balsamo facilitates VDA sales and services to include business development of new and existing clients, preparation of elevator modernization and/or maintenance specifications, contractor bid reviews, contractor bid interviews, witness test services, project management, and customer equipment evaluation.

The Engineering Department is headed by Rick Sayah and Michael Munoz, along with a highly skilled and talented team who are ready to assist you with any type of project you have. The Engineering Department provides full design and engineering services related to new vertical transportation equipment and traffic analyses for Due Diligence acquisitions.
Director of Sales, Moaad Aljahmani, joined VDA in 2016 and is the offices first point of contact for New Construction/New Design projects. He has worked in several multinational elevator companies in many countries with more than 16 years of experience in sales, key accounts, business development, operations, and management.

Our Service, Repair and Modernization Departments for the Greater New Jersey area are based in this office. VDA leadership for this office includes over 28 years of prior experience in the elevator industry with a diverse background in installations, design, project management, sales, and general management. Responsibilities at VDA include local area management and all phases of vertical transportation consulting including System Analysis, Project Management, Modernization, Inspections, Maintenance Specifications, Equipment Evaluation, and Due Diligence.
