Mr. McLaughlin joined VDA in October 2017 as an Associate/CAD Designer for the Western Region.  He is responsible for generating a full range of drawing production work using AutoCAD and Revit.  Mr. McLaughlin provides project specific equipment data, dimensions, electrical requirements, structural reactions, and related technical data.  In addition, he researches elevator codes and building codes, and reviews Architectural drawings as needed to coordinate vertical transportation drawings.

Prior to joining VDA, Mr. McLaughlin was a CAD designer with similar responsibilities, producing layouts of various types of vertical and horizontal transportation equipment.  He was involved with projects ranging from, airports, hotels, stadiums, hospitals, commercial offices, and mixed-use buildings.
