VDA continues to monitor the situation surrounding the COVID-19 Outbreak. Our first priority is to ensure that we are continuing to promote a safe and healthy work environment, both within our own facilities, as well as during Client and/or site visits when required.
Elevators are a life safety component to a building. As such, during this challenging time, VDA is considered an “essential business” in most areas and continues to perform all services when it is safe to do so.
VDA requires its employees to stay at home if they feel sick. If it is suspected that an employee may have been infected with the COVID-19 virus, the employee is only permitted to return to work after complying with the current CDC guidelines.
As North America’s premier elevator consulting firm, we’ve dealt with various emergencies and challenges in the past, successfully! VDA has invested a tremendous amount of resources to ensure that 100% of our professional and support staff are fully equipped to work remotely from either home offices or alternate locations, as needed. Due to our extensive investment in the development of our cloud-based IT systems, we can continue to fully support our clients and continue to work on our projects throughout this current crisis.
