VDA Expands Globally with Acquisition of UK-Based D2E
East Hanover, NJ — VDA, a leading vertical transportation consulting and inspection firm in North America, is proud to announce its acquisition of D2E International VT Consultants Ltd (D2E), a premier UK-based consultancy specializing in vertical transportation, façade access, and working-at-height solutions. This acquisition marks VDA’s first expansion into the European market, further solidifying its position as a global leader in elevator and escalator consulting and inspections.
With a 40-person team headquartered in London and a strong reputation across the UK and Europe, D2E brings decades of industry leadership and trust in the markets it serves by developers, property owners, managing agents and specialist consultants to provide innovative engineering solutions and boasts a portfolio that includes high-profile developments.

VDA has regularly partnered with domestic clients working on international projects and now with the addition of D2E, VDA has an on-the-ground presence in Europe, allowing the firm to offer enhanced service delivery, greater efficiency, and localized expertise for projects abroad. Additionally, this now gives European-based clients even more access to US-based projects they are working on.
The acquisition follows VDA’s 2024 purchase of GUNN Consultants and reflects the company’s continued investment in international growth and talent.
D2E will retain its name and leadership structure, continuing day-to-day operations to ensure consistency and continuity for its clients. Bill Evans, D2E’s founder, will remain involved as a strategic consultant, and Mark Fairweather will continue as Managing Director.
