Mr. Nelson joined VDA in 2009 as a Senior Associate with over 21 years of prior experience in the elevator industry. He is responsible for all aspects of vertical transportation design in both new buildings and existing structures including system analysis, new installation, specifications, elevator and escalator design, project management, and due diligence. In addition, his extensive design and engineering background has resulted in development of custom solutions on many challenging projects.

Mr. Nelson relocated in 2017, from our VDA Headquarters in East Hanover, NJ to represent our Southeast Region in the Charlotte area. He continues to provide vertical transportation consulting services in the North Carolina area, as well as many other areas in VDA’s Southeast territory.
