Joseph Caracappa

Mr. Caracappa founded Sierra Consulting Group in 2001. In 2022, Sierra Consulting Group was acquired by VDA, bringing over thirty-three years of experience in the elevator and escalator consulting industry. He specializes in business development, managing vertical transportation systems, overseeing modernization projects, and offering a wide range of services including maintenance audits, specification preparation, and compliance inspections. He ensures projects are completed efficiently, cost effectively, and in line with client specifications, acting as a key liaison between clients and contractors throughout the process. Prior to starting Sierra, earlier in his career, Mr. Caracappa played a pivotal role at another elevator consulting firm where he managed the overall consulting business and was instrumental in the company’s growth.
