About Gavin

Mr. Campbell joined VDA in 2023 as Chief Executive Officer. Before joining VDA, he served as President of Intertek Group, PLC, where he was responsible for two global business lines with 140 locations across eight countries.

Mr. Campbell began his career in 1999 with Intertek NA in Vancouver, BC on the technical side of the business and quickly moved into sales. He grew the Building Products business by expanding the construction products sales team, leveraging previous engineering experience to train and develop new account managers. He later moved to San Antonio, TX, to integrate a newly acquired Building Products business. While in San Antonio, Mr. Campbell developed regional sales strategies and introduced district sales management roles, while expanding his leadership responsibilities beyond Building Products to include all Commercial and Electrical offerings.

Over the next several years, Mr. Campbell’s role with Intertek NA took him to Chicago, where he served as the Vice President of Sales, responsible for the Commercial and Electrical sales team. In 2011, he was promoted to Senior Vice President of operations and sales, where he successfully expanded the Building & Construction business globally. Through a successful organic and acquisitive growth strategy, he grew the business from $25M to $560M.

In 2020, Mr. Campbell was promoted to President of Interek Group, PLC, responsible for the Transportation Technologies global business line in addition to his existing responsibilities with the global Building & Construction business.  In this role as the leader of two global business lines, Mr. Campbell, with the help of the strong leadership team he assembled, made Intertek Group, PLC the successful organization it is today.

Mr. Campbell studied Engineering at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT).
