Madison Square Garden

Madison Square Garden, built in 1968, underwent a massive interior renovation to significantly enhance the experience of customers, sponsors, athletes and performers.  Among the many improvements, the project included a dramatically redesigned Seventh Avenue Entrance, improved seating, new food and beverage options, improved dressing rooms, locker rooms and production offices, new mid- and floor-level suites, and restoration of MSG’s world-famous ceiling.

VDA provided design services for the vertical transportation systems including seventeen (17) new elevators and five (5) new escalators; replacement of forty-two (42) existing escalators, and modernization or replacement of fourteen (14) existing elevators. Since our modernization services were completed in 2013, VDA has continued to provide services for the NYC Mandated Periodic Testing on all units and the Quality Control Evaluation of all elevators and escalators.
