Located in Southeastern New Mexico, Carlsbad Caverns National Park is a network of 119 caves and interconnected chambers. Formed over 250 million years and maintained by the national park service it was first discovered in 1898. The caverns would later become a designated National Park of the United States in 1930. To enter the cave system a visitor has the choice to access through hiking trails down the natural entrance, or visitors may also take an elevator from the visitor center.
VDA provided elevator consulting services for Carlsbad Caverns New Mexico. Condition assessment and survey, evaluation of two (2) existing traction elevators and upon completion, a letter report was prepared for the client. Elevator report contained our findings and recommendations for improvement.
