Important Message To Our NYC Clients

The Department of Buildings (DOB) is proposing to amend its rule regarding penalties incurred due to failure to file affirmation of corrections for elevators.

The public hearing will be held online at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. We as a company have been at the forefront of this cause. Along with our industry partners we have been advocating for our clients (NYC Building owners) regarding the recent mass issuance of DOB elevator violations from 2022-2023. We urge all clients to join this public hearing as it is an opportunity to use our collective voice and raise all our concerns directly to the city officials at the DOB.

URGENT: If any of our clients would like to comment and speak on the proposed rules at the public hearing, we urge them to register their intent to speak by emailing dobrules@buildings.nyc.gov  no later than March 6, 2024. Please make sure to include Full Name and Affiliation when signing up to provide comments.

We appreciate and value any involvement from our clients as these proposed rules will affect the entire elevator industry and New York City. It is essential that clients, vendors and industry leaders form a united front at this public hearing and take advantage of this much needed platform.
