About Ryan
Ryan Kurtzman serves as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development at VDA, where he leads the firms M&A function, strategic initiatives, and corporate growth efforts to support the firm’s long-term vision and growth goals. Ryan joined VDA in 2025, bringing over a decade of experience in corporate development and corporate strategy.
Before VDA, Ryan spent seven years at Ascend Learning, a Blackstone portfolio company, where he led complex education and healthcare mergers, acquisitions, and strategic divestitures. Before that, he worked at Blackstone and EY Parthenon.
A Chicago resident, Ryan is dedicated to positioning VDA as the global leader in vertical transportation consulting and inspection.
