vda® established the Missoula, MT office in 2018 to provide elevator consulting services and a local staff to assist the firm’s growing client base in the western U.S.The office provides full design and engineering services for new and modernized building transportation equipment, and Maintenance Quality Control Evaluations of existing equipment.
The office is headed by Dane Carollo. He has over 35 years in the elevator industry, with 25 years as a Consultant with vda®. He began his career in the field as a mechanics apprentice, then moved into sales, supervision and management positions within Schindler Elevator Company. He spent 7 years with Schindler as General Manager of the Albany, NY office responsible for all maintenance, modernization, repair and new construction sales, supervision and management.
His responsibilities at vda® include local area management, performance of all phases of Elevator Consulting/Design Services, Quality Control Evaluations and Code Inspections
He also provides equipment and maintenance quality control evaluations, writes equipment and maintenance specifications for new and existing vertical transportation equipment, and provides construction administration services. In addition, he serves as project manager on selected major modernization contracts throughout North America.
Mr. Carollo has developed an expertise in existing installations and modernization projects during his time with VDA. He has completed over 300 modernization’s as Project Manager with vda® in 26 states, the District of Columbia, Canada, Puerto Rico and Aruba. In addition to serving as the Montana Area Manager, Mr. Carollo is responsible for supervision of preparation of modernization specifications for other vda® branch offices.
