By Summer 2010, a University of Michigan student could roll out of bed, grab a cappuccino at the cybercafe and head down the hall to a video conference with a student from Nigeria -- all under one roof.

That's the dream for the new $175-million North Quad Residential and Academic Complex, and L-shaped living-learning complex featuring 460 student beds in a 10-story residential tower and a 7-story academic tower arranged around interlocking courtyards, and connected by a cloister evocative of the Law Quad.

VDA is providing full consulting services through construction administration for two (2) geared elevators in the residential tower, and for two (2) geared and two (2) hydraulic elevators in the academic tower.
