Mr. DeCocinis began his career in 1997 with Amtech Elevator Services as a modernization engineer.  After gaining experience in the industry, he moved into a sales position and later took on the responsibility as become a Branch Manager.

Over the years, Mr. DeCocinis worked for ThyssenKrupp, Otis, and KONE.  He spent most of his career as an operations manager in service, repair, and modernization.  These responsibilities included job site surveys, ordering material, permits, inspections, and running manpower.

In 2014, Mr. DeCocinis started his consulting career with VTX in Philadelphia.  He later was promoted to Vice President and eventually became President of the firm.  Responsibilities included elevator consulting, design, construction management, and inspections for various types of equipment.  In early 2021, he joined the VDA team as a Senior Associate to continue with his consulting career
