Mr. Cummings joined VDA in June 2021 as an Associate in our Boston, MA office with over 40 years of experience in the elevator industry.  He is responsible for all phases of vertical transportation consulting including project management, covering elevator analysis and design, specification development, equipment budgets, ADA reviews, shop drawing review, architectural products, construction administration, performance evaluation, and maintenance evaluation.  He has participated in projects involving new installation, modernization, maintenance evaluation, maintenance contract review, acquisition/due diligence review and Code compliance.

Prior to joining VDA, Mr. Cummings held various positions from Associate Director of Field Services for New England, General Manager of Delta Beckwith Elevator (an Otis Subsidiary), Regional Field Operations Manager for New England, New Equipment, Modernization and Maintenance Supervisor and finally 16 years of elevator field experience as an apprentice, mechanic, foreman and adjuster.
