International Gem Tower

The International Gem Tower previously known as the Diamond tower was designed by Gary Barnett, a former Belgian diamond trader. This tower included modern office space, underground parking, a maximum-security vault and a museum. The developer promises that his tower will restore the district as a world center for the diamond trade. The developer promises this building will bring in over 520 to 1,320 new jobs.

Located in New York’s Diamond District, this 800,000sf tower is wrapped in a three-dimensional, folded glass fa├žade that creates an ever changing light play and resembles shimmering medallions with each fold. The tower’s five story podium is enveloped in a uniform, fritted plane of glass, providing a clean volume at street level.
