Cheung Kong Center
Built on Hong Kong’s most important site, this 1.5 million sq. ft. tower is a 62-story, well-proportioned square prism whose shape was dictated by Feng Shui.
The design team of Leo A Daly and Cesar Pelli and Associates was challenged to give the tower presence while harmonizing with its distinguished neighbors (the Bank of China and the Hong Kong-Shanghai Bank). The $450 million (USD) project was completed in 1999.
VDA provided consulting services from design through construction documents for thirty-eight (38) geared and gearless elevators.
