Rutgers Business School- Livingston Campus

The Livingston Campus building, which opened with the start of the 2013 fall semester, contains nearly $4 million worth of technology. The majority of the technology is wired into more than two dozen teaching rooms, including a 440-seat, theater-styled auditorium. The seating in the classrooms and lecture halls can, collectively, accommodate more than 2,000 students.

The business school building, with its glass exterior and five-foot-high columns, adds a dramatic gateway to the Livingston Campus. It also represents one of the latest examples of Rutgers University’s commitment to renewable energy.

Two solar fields on campus will supply the building with electricity and a nearby geothermal field will provide its heating and cooling. Those features qualified the building for the U.S. Green Building Council’s Sustainable Design Silver LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.

VDA provided vertical transportation consulting services on two banks of elevators located at opposite ends of the building. From shop drawing review to performance specifications and progress visits, VDA committed its services to the efficiency and safety of this innovative addition to the Rutgers Livingston campus.
