The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is the most important of the twelve regional Federal Reserve Banks in the U.S. The New York branch encompasses New York state, the 12 northern counties of New Jersey, Fairfield County in Connecticut, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is known worldwide for its storage of the world's largest stockpile of gold. The bank also conducts U.S. government open market operations (buying and selling of U.S. Securities).

VDA provided services for an initial evaluation of 17 passenger elevators, 3 freight elevators, and 2 tray conveyors; and subsequent services for modernization of the units.
