Skirkanich Hall
Skirkanich Hall

Skirkanich Hall, University of Pennsylvania
Philadelphia, PA

The generous gift of $10 million by J. Peter and Geri Skirkanich helped finance the 58,400 sq. ft. bioengineering laboratory facility in the School of Engineering and Applied Science complex, near the School of Medicine. The project was a part of a $42.2 million bioengineering initiative at the University of Pennsylvania.

In addition to providing laboratory and office space for the department of bioengineering, Skirkanich Hall improves circulation through the School and creates a grand entrance from 33rd Street.

VDA provided full consulting services through construction administration for two elevators in the building. Groundbreaking was in October 2003 and the grand opening was held in October 2005.
